Spirit- Trees

This project was inspired by an amazing picture of a great photographer from Spain. He shot an image of a tree with yellow leaves, making it seem as if the tree was made of pure gold.

This tree on our cover is found in Südtirol, a region in North Italy, which originally belonged to Austria up until 1918. However, after the fall of the famous Austro-Hungarian Empire – subsequent to the loss of World War I – Südtirol was handed over to Italy. To this day, 90% of the inhabitants of Südtirol are still German speaking Austrian natives.

Surrounded by Unesco World Heritage protected Dolomites, this spectacular tree is deeply rooted and stands proudly, thereby imitating the unique
mountain range which has withstood the test of time. These glorious mountains, considered to be both magical and mystical by their guests, still host the spirits of our forefathers.

The Spirit-Trees by Fu-sed, are an emblem of a land uniting both Austria and Italy. Indeed, our Spirit-Trees were inspired by the Dolomites, designed
in Vienna and finally produced by a traditional Goldsmith company from Tuscany, Italy, the birthplace of the Renaissance.

In Japan there is an understanding, a care and respect for trees as seen nowhere else in the world. Japan and Austria share a long history of devotion to trees. In 1996, Japan generously donated 1000 Cherry Trees to Vienna in honor of the 1000 year anniversary of Austria’s existence.
This honorable gesture created an eternal bond of friendship between Japan and Austria – a fusion between the two cultures.

The name of our company, FU-SED, comes from connecting several elements together such as the great cultures of Japan & Austria & Italy, old & new,
temporary & everlasting and the spiritual & the natural. In the manner of the great Austrian Empire, the colors of our company are therefore yellow and black.
